Yacht Repositioning

As a Licensed USCG Captain with a 100 Masters Ticket, I can provide repositioning services, upon request for most boats. I have extensive operational experience in sail and power boats from dinghies up to 180 ton vessels. If I cannot meet your timing or other requirements, I work with other qualified captains that I can recommend and I will assist in booking them for you.

Yacht Management

I grew up in the boat business and have worked in and around boats most of my life. I am a very hands on Owner/Operator and have worked on all types of systems in very exotic parts of the world, where parts and assitance are often scarce. My experience is especially usesful to owners who need someone to oversee a build or maintenance process and insure that proper proceedures are followed.

New Build Advocate

If you are thinking about having a new boat or yacht built, you should have a buyer’s advocate to make sure that you get the boat that you are dreaming about. Interfacing with the builder, inspecting the build process, reviewing change orders, and asissting in the negotiations are just a few of the responsibilities of your advocate. When building a boat overseas, it is important to escrow the money in a way that insures the builder cannot access the funds until there is valid physical proof of milestone completion. As your Buyer’s Advocate, I can help you through the long and sometimes frustrating process. And, if you bring me in to early in the sales process, the builder will usually pay for my services.

Training

I have been training boaters on the safe operation of their boats since I was in my teens. I have developed a detailed training methodology for teaching an owner how to properly operate his/her boat and the boat’s systems. As a Captain with a 100 Ton Master’s Certificate, I can and have run boats up to 190 Tons and if your insurance company requires that a Captain sign you off on a specific training curricula, I will interface with the company, adjusting my normal training to insure that all curricula items are completed satisfactorily.
